#DF13 Social Recap of Day 4 at Dreamforce

Thursday was much quieter day at #DF13 than I was expecting, with the expo halls closing early and sessions ending in the afternoon, but there were still 15,004 tweets!

The top 4 most mentioned Twitter names should come as no surprise, but @SherylSandberg rounding out the top 5 was a bit interesting. Looks like the women attending #DF13 enjoyed the #LeanIn circles on Thursday morning and people continued to retweet quotes from her fireside chat from Wednesday, mentioning her on Twitter 241 times.

Top 5 Mentioned Twitter Handles at #DF13 on Thursday, day 4

Over 1,500 tweets on day 4 of Dreamforce contained @Dreamforce‘s Twitter name and @Salesforce was mentioned 1,076 times as well. Marc @Benioff‘s account was tweeted 584 times, but we are pretty sure most of those were just talking about his awesome shoes! @DeepakChopra‘s afternoon keynote session was wildly popular, with 446 mentions and many people saying they weren’t able to get a seat in his conference room.

The day ended with the announcement of the $1 Million Salesforce Hackathon winners and over 1,200 tweets. Sounds like it was a tough decision from Marc Benioff and Parker Harris as at the last minute they decided they wanted live demos from each of the five finalists before selecting the winners. While Healthcare.love, a site dedicated to making it easier for families to find and make decisions about which healthcare is right for them, was a hit, they came in second place winning $50k. The big winners were Upshot, an app that translates speech to text to keywords and can dynamically build reports. You can already sign up for their beta at Upshotdata.com.

As with every conference ending, people were bittersweet to leave their friends and go back to work, but they were also excited to start implementing what they’d learned over the week.

I can’t forget about all the people talking about #DF14! Yes, it is already starting. Over the week #DF14 was mentioned 327 times as people can’t wait to come back to Moscone Center the week of October 13th, 2014. There is even a website dedicated to telling you how many days until the next Dreamforce: isitdreamforceyet.com

Ack! Now I’m back at work with actual work to do, but all I want to do is test out all the cool new features, apps, resources, and ideas I learned!
